MEET THE CAPTAIN
Captain Zachery Dillon
Owner/Operator of Reaper Fishing Charters and lifelong Florida Native, Captain Zachery Dillon has been fishing the blue waters off the Coast Central Florida since the young age of 5. Fishing is in the family blood as Zach begin going offshore with his Father and Grandfather every opportunity possible. He found his way as a junior angler on to a competition tournament boat and participated in various touring competitions in the Southern United States.
As a full time Firefighter/EMT fishing was always the “hobby” secondary to the profession, but the desire to compete was the driving force behind Captain Zach’s first boat purchase which was a modest 23ft Center Console the-aptly named “Reaper”. The 23 Sailfish proved to live up to the name bringing home various tournament podiums in the “small boat category” In Southern Kingfish Tournaments as well as local tournaments.
in 2019, Captain Zach backed by Sailfish Boats, moved up to the 30ft Center Console for open competition. From there, working with his partner and fellow fisherman Jeremy Sheffey. Zach obtained is Coast Guard Captains License and then 100 ton Captains License, with Reaper Fishing Charters Florida being born in 2019. Captain Zach is now the full time operator of the vessel, fishing over 290 trips between 2021-2022.
